Tony winner Bebe Neuwirth will host a benefit party for "The Friends of the Lillian Booth Actors Home" on September 13 featuring performances from Tony winner Leslie Uggams, Tony nominee Tom Wopat and Peter Cincotti and his band. The event will take place at a private estate in Englewood, New Jersey, that once belonged to film star Gloria Swanson. The celebration will also feature a live auction, including the chance to appear onstage in Mamma Mia!
Neuwirth is a Tony winner for Chicago and currently stars in The Addams Family. Her other Broadway credits include Fosse, Damn Yankees, Sweet Charity, Little Me, Dancin' and A Chorus Line. Uggams received a Tony Award for Hallelujah, Baby! and has also appeared in Thoroughly Modern Millie, On Golden Pond, King Hedley II, Anything Goes, Jerry's Girls and Blues in the Night. Wopat is a Tony nominee for A Catered Affair. He was seen on Broadway last season in Sondheim on Sondheim and has also appeared in Chicago, Glengarry Glen Ross, 42nd Street, Annie Get Your Gun, City of Angels and Guys and Dolls.
The Lillian Booth Actors Home, located on six acres in Englewood, is a state-of-the-art assisted living and skilled nursing care facility.
